DESCRIPTION:The first Jefferson County Fair was in September of 1931. Schools were closed for two days\, and it featured a rodeo\, horse racing\, boxing and a parade plus all kinds of games for kids. \nWhile specific pieces of the Fair change from year to year or over time\, the recuring theme of a County Fair do not change! A County Fair should showcase/promote local agriculture\, arts and industry \, while also entertaining. It is encouraging agricultural\, stock raising\, horticultural\, mechanical\, artistic\, and industrial pursuits within our county. \nJuly 22nd – 25th are the dates for the 2026 Jefferson County Fair and Rodeo. \nThis year’s Fair & Rodeo is shaping up to be our largest event yet! \nPlease follow us on Facebook & Instagram for all the latest updates.
